Distribution records of Anopheles gambiae species

This database contains recorded collections of members of the Anopheles gambiae species complex.

The database originated at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine through the efforts of Professor George Davidson and Mr Ron Page. Many entomologists who work or have worked in Africa contributed to the database, either by sending material to the Ross Institute in the 1960's and 70's for cross‑mating identification or by donation of reprints. We thank them for their assistance and hope that they find the database and species distribution useful. The World Health Organization (WHO/AFRO), South African Institute for Medical Research and South African Medical Research Council are thanked for financial support.
